Don't let culture, most dietitians, and almost all trainers and online muscle-heads (blabbing their big mouths about good and bad carbs) tell you the "magic secrets" to dieting and health. If you know me at all, you know that I've been partially focused on nutrition, health, and fitness for the past ten years. And I'm absolutely none of the above categories and not a doctor by any means. But I've listened to a lot of that bull-crap in the past. I've experimented with just about every trendy diet and nutrition plan out there, just to try them. And most of the time, I appeared in great shape on the service. But Inside, I never felt crazy improvements in wellness. And I always had to mistreat my body and waste insane hours in the gym. Then, something happened…
Just about a year ago, my wife Brittni was diagnosed with Lupus, and she chose to follow the Goodbye Lupus by Brooke Goldner, M.D. protocol to begin healing. This is not even intended to be a testimonial, but a wake-up call.
And without hesitation, I joined her on the dramatic life change. It wasn't easy at first for both of us, but when I watch the love of my life regain mobility, and I no longer had to carry her to-and-from the bathroom because her rheumatoid arthritis was too excruciating, I felt incredibly empowered. And then, I began experiencing the unbelievable benefits. Extreme will power. More energy. Fat loss. More brain clarity. And muscle recovery after workouts have never been so incredible. Which I work out only 3 times a week for about 30 min (never lifting heavy). Plus, yoga. I would post a selfie picture, but I’m not that kind of person. But more importantly, I experienced INSANE productivity! I don’t post my work on social media all the time, because quite literally, I am too busy working (my definition of “work” is probably a lot different than most) and I have no need to market myself, really (God is so good, like that).
But In a nutshell, the diet consists of drinking about 1lb of greens a day (cruciferous primarily) and over a gallon of water a day. No gluten. No dairy. No alcohol. No meat. No added sugar. No preservatives. And at first, like most people, you're probably thinking, "you mean, no happiness." To you, I say, take your culturally clouded and misguided mind and scroll off this post. And listen up, all you meat eaters. Let me ask you something. Do you really think that the meat you get served up today “grass-feed or not” is the same as the meat that was eaten 1,000 years ago? Read a damn book. Look around you. Wake the hell up and stop being so near sighted stating the same dumb argument lol. Pollution, agriculture, marketing… It’s not rocket science. BUT, I promised myself I wouldn’t get so negative on this… Sorry.
If you’re really curious about becoming a productive and healthy powerhouse, I suggest you focus on your will-power above all and forget all the fallacies of eating for happiness and inclusion. Then, ask yourself, “What’s more important. Instant gratification or preparing a healthier future for myself and the next generation?”
If you need some pointers, feel free to reach out. Again, I am not a doctor, psychologist, naturalist, dietitian, or even certified fitness trainer... I am a human that has experienced the transformation and understands basic health, sociology, and marketing.
